Updated: Mar 26, 2020

Jemma Appleby is shortlisted as one of the finalists for the WAC awards this year. The WAC awards is open for contemporary visual artists who are based in the UK and abroad. Although it is a new establishment by a group of artists in South-West of England, it has attracted artists from not only London but also Italy, India, Australia, Japan, and the US, working on a variety of mediums.

The selection was made by a panel of leading figures from the art world including Caroline Walker, Harry Borden, Donald Smith, Julian Wild, amongst others.

This year Jemma Appleby is displaying one of her iconic charcoal on paper works. The show is now on display to be visited at the beautiful historical Wells Cathedral, filling its cloisters with art. The exhibition continues from July 19th until August 11th, 2019.
