Eleni Odysseos (Cyprus, 1991) explores themes of isolation, desire, power and hierarchies. The scale of her paintings and their gestural mark-making refer to acts of fascination, domination and submission. The compositions explore our inherent need for constructing belief systems and hierarchies, as we crave for an answer to humanity’s absurdity. Eleni has exhibited across the UK, Germany, Greece and Cyprus, and recently graduated from the MFA program at Goldsmiths University.
