Larry Cotton (UK, 1998) predominantly paints from his imagination, creating images that attempt to understand how people and objects occupy a space. He finds satisfaction in the difficulty of painting a human form without reference, seeking to challenge his own understanding and pursue a more complex investigation of space and cohesion between its elements. Larry completed a Foundation year at the Royal Drawing School and he is currenlty attending Slade school for his BFA.
Despite his young age, a work by Larry recently became part of The Royal Collection and he had a painting residency at Dumfries House in Scotland.
